All-wheel drive cars are designated by the word SYNCRO. For the drive of back wheels in addition transfer case, the driveshaft, reverse main gear and back power shafts installs on the car ся. For alignment of speed of rotation of forward and back wheels the special differential is used. In addition special differential redistributes torque between a forward and back axis of the car. At pro-slipping of wheels of one of car axes the torque transferred to other axis automatically increases. At the same time coupling of wheels of the car with a paving improves. On an axis where the contact of wheels with a paving reduces ся, the torque transferred to this axis therefore resistance of the car to side drifts increases also decreases. Irrespective of it the special differential allows rotation of wheels with various speed that is necessary for normal work of anti-blocking system of brakes. Distribution of torques in special differential is made with use of cogwheels and worm differential.

The special differential works independently, without the operating signals. Technical parameters of differential are defined by parameters of worm differential. The basic principle which is underlain in differential the fact that worm differentials on the one hand rotate easily and freely and on the other hand hardly or at all do not rotate. Process of redistribution of torques happens very quickly and smoothly, at the same time its external manifestations are not noticeable.

The special differential fastens to a transmission case. Lubricant of differential is carried out by the same oil, as transmissions. At the same time replacement of oil is not required.

Reverse main gear with differential is filled with GL5 SAE 90 gearbox oil. Amount of oil of 1,5 l. Oil replacement in use of the car is not provided. Check of level of oil is carried out through a special opening.

Repair of special differential and reverse main gear needs to be made only at specialized service station.
