Prevention

During the coupling work, dust which contains asbestos, unhealthy therefore when cleaning coupling do not use compressed air is formed and do not inhale dust. You make cleaning of details of coupling of dust with use of brake fluid or methyl alcohol. After cleaning of details of coupling from use I eat methyl alcohol or brake fluid wipe details dry.


Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the transmission.
2. Note the provision of the leading knot of coupling in relation to a flywheel, using a marker or paint.
3. Using the special VW-3067 tool or the screw-driver, for teeths of a gear wreath of a flywheel block a flywheel from a provorachivaniye,
see rice. Use of devices at removal and installation of a clutch plate)
4. Gradually in the diagonal sequence weaken bolts of fastening of the leading knot of coupling, turning each bolt on a half of a turn until it is terminated springs and bolts can be unscrewed manually.
5. Remove press a disk, at the same time support a clutch plate that it did not fall.
6. Wipe a flywheel with gasoline use.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check a condition of a press clutch plate. Development traces on the ends of a press spring have to be no more than 0,3 mm, see rice. Places of check of a press diaphragm spring on wear.
2. Check reliability of spring connection between a press disk and the case of the leading part of coupling. Existence of scratches and absence or damage of rivets is not allowed.
3. Check press a disk for lack of cracks, a prigar and wear of a surface. Using a steel line and an edge of the probe, check not planeness of a working surface of a press disk. Неплоскост the nost of a press disk should not exceed 0,2 mm.
4. Check a condition of a surface of friction of a flywheel for lack of cracks, a prigar and wear of a surface.
5. Check a condition of frictional overlays of a clutch plate and in the presence traces of oil or mechanical damages replace a clutch plate with them.
6. Measure thickness of overlays of a clutch plate. If their thickness of less admissible or if heads of rivets are close to a working surface, replace them or a clutch plate.
7. Check a face beating of a clutch plate which at distance of 2,5 mm from outer diameter has to make no more than 0,8 mm.
8. Check a condition of the release bearing which has to rotate easily, evenly and silently and in it there has to be no side play. The working surface of the bearing influencing a press spring has to be smooth, without cracks, local corrosion or development (see rice. Directions in which it is necessary to check a condition of the release bearing).
The faulty release bearing can be defined, without removing it from the car for what it is necessary to press a coupling pedal on the working engine. If when pressing a pedal of coupling additional noise appears, so the release bearing is faulty, and it needs to be replaced.

Installation

Prevention

At installation of a new clutch plate or press clutch plate remove from them anticorrosive protection.

At installation of a clutch plate you watch that on its frictional slips even in insignificant quantities oil did not get. Therefore before installation of a clutch plate wipe the interfaced surface of a flywheel and a surface of a press disk with pure rags, and establish a clutch plate by clean hands.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Grease vents in a clutch plate nave with a thin layer of special lubricant on the basis of a molybdenum disulfide.
2. Establish a clutch plate on a flywheel, at the same time the acting part of a nave of a clutch plate has to be directed outside, that is to the transmission.
3. Install the leading part of coupling on a drive, at the same time establishing it on the directing pins. At repeated installation of earlier removed drive plate of coupling check that the tags put before removal are combined.
4. Tighten bolts of fastening of the leading part of coupling so that the clutch plate was pressed, but at the same time could move in the parties.
5. Using a special mandrel or an old main shaft of the transmission, center a clutch plate concerning a flywheel, see rice. Use of devices at removal and installation of a clutch plate.
6. Centering of a clutch plate, in relation to the leading part of coupling, can be made before installation by the special mandrel 2174 conducting parts of coupling, see rice. Centering of a clutch plate, in relation to the leading part of coupling by a special mandrel of 2174.
7. After centering of a clutch plate gradually and in the diagonal sequence tighten bolts of fastening of the leading part of coupling the moment of 25 Nanometers.
8. Take a mandrel from a clutch plate.
9. Grease a shlitsevy part of a main shaft of the transmission and the directing plug of the release bearing with a thin layer of special lubricant on the basis of a molybdenum disulfide.
10. Install the transmission.
