5.6.1. Check of fuel nozzles (4-htsilindrovy petrol engine)

GENERAL INFORMATION

Fuel nozzles are the electromagnetic valves opened and closed by the engine control unit which defines time of opening and duration of injection of fuel depending on turns of a bent shaft of the engine, the provision of a butterfly valve, size of the arriving mass of air, temperature of the air coming to the engine, temperature of cooling liquid and availability of oxygen in the exhaust gases on the basis of information received from the sensors installed on the engine and around it. Nozzles spray fuel a cone-shaped torch. After fuel dispersion the nozzle is hermetically closed. If the fuel nozzle is closed untightly, problems at start of the hot engine are possible. At faulty nozzles the engine can continue after switching off of ignition in the mode of kalilny ignition.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before check of fuel nozzles check a state and operability of a safety lock of a control system of the engine, the RPM meter of a bent shaft and the relay of the fuel pump.
2. Remove the top casing of the engine.

Engines 1,8-I and 1,6-I ADP

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Disconnect the multicontact electric socket from the control unit of the ignition coil.
