4.6.7. Fuel nozzles

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

When checking work of fuel nozzles never hold up hands or any part of a body under the fuel stream leaving a nozzle. Fuel comes out a nozzle under high pressure and can get into a body through skin. It is recommended to charge to the expert work on check of nozzles under pressure.


For definition of a faulty nozzle it is necessary to be convinced that the engine is serviceable and the level of a compression is identical in all cylinders.

Start the engine and warm up it up to the normal working temperature.

Weaken a fuel-supply line union nut on the checked nozzle. Note whether engine turns changed.

At a serviceable fuel nozzle the obvious reduction of turns of the engine which is followed by its uneven work will be observed. If the checked nozzle is faulty, change of turns of the engine will be insignificant and will be gone if was present earlier, foreign knock.

On existence of a faulty fuel nozzle specify the following deviations in operation of the engine:

  – admissions in operation of cylinders;
  – knock in one or several cylinders;
  – engine overheat;
  – reduction of engine capacity;
  – from an exhaust pipe there is a black dense smoke;
  – the increased fuel consumption;
  – blue smoke at start of the cold engine.

Prevention

During the work with fuel nozzles observe purity.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clear area about fuel nozzles and connecting nuts of fuel-supply lines.
2. Unscrew connecting nuts and remove fuel-supply lines of high pressure in a set.
3. Unscrew holders of fuel nozzles and remove fuel nozzles from the engine.
4. Remove a thermoprotective sealing ring.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. At installation of fuel nozzles it is necessary to use a new thermoprotective sealing ring. The ring needs to be established so that the conical party was directed up, see rice. Thermoprotective sealing ring.
2. Establish fuel nozzles.
3. Establish the holder of a fuel nozzle, at the same time observe correctness of an arrangement of an arm on a support

4. Establish fuel-supply lines of high pressure and screw connecting nuts, having tightened their moment 25 Nanometers.
