1.25. Brake fluid

GENERAL INFORMATION

Brake fluid absorbs moisture. Therefore during operation of the car brake fluid takes away a certain amount of water from air. Too high content of water in brake fluid can eventually, cause corrosion of details of the working brake system. Besides, at the same time temperature of boiling of brake fluid significantly goes down. Therefore it is necessary to change time in two years brake fluid!
Prevention

At very old brake fluid it is possible, at big load of the working brake system, emergence of vials of steam in system. It negatively influences overall performance of the working brake system and, thereby, traffic safety.

It is necessary to apply only the recommended brake fluid (the specification according to the FMVSS 116 DOT 4 standard of the USA).

Brake fluid is poisonous. Therefore it should be stored only in the closed original container and especially out of reach of children. Besides, it must be kept in mind that brake fluid destroys a paint and varnish covering.
