GENERAL INFORMATION

Elements of fastening of a forward wing

1 – forward wing,
2 – screws of 9 pieces,

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a front bumper.
2. Remove side repeaters of turns.
3. Unscrew screws and remove facing of a niche of a forward wheel.
4. Unscrew screws and remove a mudguard from under a wing (see rice. Mudguard of a forward wing). If necessary replace plastic nuts in a mudguard.
5. Unscrew the screws fixing a forward wing.
Prevention

In order to avoid damage of a paint and varnish covering wind with an adhesive tape of the place near screws of fastening of a wing.


6. The wing is established on a layer of protective mastic therefore for separation of a wing from a body soften protective mastic by means of the hair dryer. Put on a flat nozzle the hair dryer and, gradually warming mastic, remove a wing. In the absence of the hair dryer remove protective mastic by means of a sharp knife.
Consistently, beginning from a rack, warm up wing installation sites on mastic and, being careful, remove a wing from the car.
Prevention

For protection of the bottom of the car the film on the basis of a polivinilkhlora yes is used (PVC) and it can be heated only for a short time and not really strongly. When heating the film changes the properties and bubbles. At the same time couples, unhealthy are allocated, and hydrochloric acid which promotes corrosion emergence is formed.



Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before installation of a wing into place clear the interfaced surface and apply zinc paste in places of fastening of a wing on a wheel niche and a forward rack (VW AKL-381 035 50). This paste is used as anticorrosive protection.
2. In other places where the wing is interfaced to a body, paste a sealing tape for wings.
3. Install a forward wing on the car, combine openings under bolts and screw up bolts, having tightened their moment 5 Nanometers. At installation of a wing check that gaps between a wing and a cowl, and also between a wing and a forward door were uniform on all length.
Gaps at installation of a wing:
Wing – a cowl – 3 mm.
Wing – a headlight and the index of turns – 1 mm.
Wing – a forward door – 4 mm.
4. You make tightening of bolts of fastening of a wing the moment of 5 Nanometers.
5. Apply a layer of anticorrosive protection on the internal surface of a wing.
6. Install side repeaters of turns.
7. Establish and screw screws a wing mudguard.
8. Establish and screw screws facing of a niche of a wheel.
9. Establish a front bumper.
