Fuel (diesel engines)


Diesel fuel on DIN EN 590.

Cetane number of not less than 49.

RME fuel (biodiesel fuel) on DIN 51 606.

Cars with the diesel engine can be operated on RME fuel (a maslorastitelny metilester).

Features of use of RME fuel

RME fuel is received from vegetable oil (mainly rape oil) by chemical process at which vegetable oil and methanol by means of the catalyst turns into RME fuel.

RME fuel almost does not contain sulfur. Therefore at combustion of this fuel it is almost not emitted sulfur dioxide.

Products of combustion contain less

 – carbon monoxide,
 – not burned down hydrocarbons,
 – firm particles (for example, soot), than it turns out at combustion of traditional diesel fuel.

Content of all harmful substances in the fulfilled gases is less, than it is required by legislative rules.

RME fuel easily decays biologically.

RME fuel keeps sufficient fluidity up to the temperature about -15 °C.

RME fuel can be mixed in any proportion with usual diesel fuel.

Only the neznachitel of Nov deterioration in tyagovodinamichesky qualities of the car can be noted.

Fuel consumption of RME can be slightly higher.

Operation in winter conditions

When using summer diesel fuel at a temperature of external air below 0 of °C violations in operation of the engine as fuel because of loss of paraffin becomes viscous can meet.

Therefore during the cold period of year use winter diesel fuel which depending on its brand ensures trouble-free operation of the engine at a temperature up to 15 °C or to –22 °C.

Heating of the fuel filter

The car is equipped with the device of heating of the fuel filter. Thanks to it it is possible to use the fuel calculated on its application at a temperature up to -15 °C at a temperature approximately to –25 °C.

If at air temperature below -25 °C fuel became so dense that the engine is not launched, some time in the warmed room is enough to allow to the car to stand.

To diesel fuel it is not necessary to mix various additives, gasoline and other additives increasing its fluidity.
