Air supply nozzles


By pressing the corresponding keys from all snuffled there is a warmed-up or not warmed up fresh air (ECON mode) or the cooled air (AUTO mode).

Control of nozzles is exercised of keys 1, 13, 14.

In addition nozzles 3 and 4 can be separately open or closed.

The nozzle is closed: the side disk regulator on.

The nozzle is opened: the side disk regulator on.

Depending on position of the disk regulator the air stream changes the direction on height.

If to turn the disk regulator under a deflector lattice, the direction of an air stream in the horizontal plane changes.

By means of snuffled 2 remains not misted over the lower part of a windshield.

The back nozzles placed in a zone of an arrangement of legs are regulated together with nozzles 5.

General instructions

It is necessary to watch that the sensor located between air supply nozzles on a windshield in the middle of the dashboard and a deflector lattice (poses. 18) were not covered with anything.

In order that the Klimatronik installation could function smoothly, the airintaking opening before a windshield has to be pure from ice, snow or leaves.

Heating ability of system depends on temperature of cooling liquid of the cooling system of the engine – therefore the biggest heating happens at the engine which is warmed up up to the working temperature.

If the AUTO mode was not included for a long time, emergence of an unpleasant smell owing to different accumulation of deposits on the evaporator is possible.

To avoid emergence of an unpleasant smell, it is necessary to include climatic installation at the highest step of operation of the fan – as well in cold season – at least, once a month. At the same time for a short time to open one of windows.

The used air is removed through exhaust outlets in a back part of a body; these openings should not be partitioned off.

On the car the sedan it is impossible to block something a crack between the luggage shelf and back glass which serves for removal of the used air.

At high temperature and big humidity of external air, perhaps, a condensate dropping from the evaporator and formation of a puddle under the car. This normal phenomenon, and it is not a sign of violation of tightness of system.

For prevention of fogging of glasses at the movement with a low speed it is necessary to include the lowest step of an operating mode of the fan. Choose for this purpose the ECON or AUTO modes.

Economic operation of the Klimatronik installation

During the work of installation in the air cooling mode the drive of its compressor is carried out from the engine and therefore the nature of use of installation influences fuel consumption. That whenever possible to reduce installation work duration, it is necessary to consider the following recommendations:

If the internal space of the standing car strongly heated up under the influence of sunlight, it is recommended to open for a short time windows or doors to air salon.

It is not necessary to leave included in the refrigeration unit during the movement of the car when windows or the movable hatch of a roof are open.

If desirable temperature in salon can be received also without turning on of the refrigeration unit, choose an operating mode of "ECON".

Installation failures

If after inclusion of ignition all symbols on the display blink within about 15 seconds, installation is faulty – it is necessary to address to the service enterprise Volkswagen.
